Taoyuan International Airport to Futurestar Hotel in Taipei.
We got off the plane, got our luggages and headed to a counter to get this youth travel card in order to enjoy some discounts. (in the end we only used it once) This thing is free by the way.
When we were queuing up for the card there was this middle-aged man who came to us and offered us transportation into Taipei City for a price. And he kept bugging us. And he was really unfriendly.
I mean, if you wanna tout or sth, at least be friendly about it. You were just scaring us off.
And after collecting the card we trotted to the other end of the area where we could get coaches to bring us into Taipei City. (and the man was shouting at us, “小姐!小姐!”)
There were several bus companies that could be of service to you, we chose this Free Go Bus 飞狗巴士 that could bring us straight to our hotel. And if we bought the return trip there would be an NT$20 discount. Which is like, SGD1. What the heck.
While waiting for the coach YX and I were thirsty and we got a drink from a tiny cafe in the airport. If I didn't remember wrongly, we paid NT$40 (SGD2) for this bottle -_-
And on the coach we went.
My first few glimpses of Taipei. It isn't that clear, but you could see the Taipei 101 in the background.
The hotel was at the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors of a building in Ximending, Taipei. The lower levels housed a KTV, hairdressing salon, etc. On level 1 there were pedicure and massage. But anyway. We lived on the 8th floor, in room 802.
The bed and toilet.
Dressing table.
And a 贴心小礼物。A gift from the heart.
I'm not very sure if I'd appreciate. But I'm sure Twiggy would.
